Dr. Letitia Wright was awarded the Business Press Top 100 Women-owned Business awards in 1996. Been nominated for a Stevie™ Award in 2004 and was the National Association of Female Executives Entrepreneur of the year. Been nominated for the Reginald Lewis Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Inland Empire African American Chamber of Commerce. And that’s just a summary. She accepted to have an interview:

Hi Dr. Wright, I’m honored to have you on Entrepreneurship-interviews.com. You host a TV show, co-authored a book on Mentorship for Women, generally being involved with helping women entrepreneurs. How did all this start?

Dr. Wright: I started the show The Wright Place in 2000. It was a hobby, and I was having fun. However, when I started to see that people were watching and sponsors were interested in being on the show, I took it seriously and started really find some great information to share.

Interview with Wei Yang from EasyAutoSales

Hi Wei, and welcome to Entrepreneur interviews. I will start by asking what the differences between the regular classifieds sites and EasyAutoSales are?

Wei: The major used car classifieds today charge for distribution, which is what newspaper classifieds have done for years and years. Outside of distribution, they don’t provide sellers much else to find or identify potential buyers. Existing used car classifieds also pass very little data back to the car dealers except for filling out forms. In the web 2.0 world, a lot of this usage information is shared to help sellers know what potential buyers want and to let buyers know who the best-sellers are and what the best products out there are.

EasyAutoSales is different in that we allow sellers to market their new or used cars on the web for free, and we help them find potential leads. In addition to free vehicle listings, we are opening up the used cars marketplace to create an interactive environment where car buyers can help each other search for used cars and find the best vehicle for them.

Unlike traditional used cars classifieds, we also integrate our services with web 2.0 services and follow the users where they are the most active. Buying a car online shouldn’t be a chore; it should be an integrated experience, just like doing anything else on the web.

Interview with Ellen Craw from Ilium Software

I’ve met Ellen Craw at the SIC 2007 conference in Denver. She’s General Manager at Ilium Software. Ilium makes award winning programs for Windows Mobile and Palm handhelds and smartphones, and Windows desktop PCs. I didn’t get the chance to interview her at the conference, so I’m doing it now.

Hi Ellen, I’m glad that we can finally make the interview! I have several questions about yourself, Ilium Software and your entrepreneurship experience. Let’s start with a few words on Ilium Software – what does it do?

Ellen: Ilium Software makes and sells programs – primarily information managers – for Windows Mobile and Palm smartphones and PDAs, as well as for Windows desktops. Read more

Interview with a shark guy: Patric Douglas

Interviewing entrepreneurs kind of gets me in contact with interesting people around the World. That’s how I’ve got in contact with Patric.

Douglas, a CEO that turned his hobby into a successful business, and that is Shark Diving. I’m copy-pasting his description from www.sharkdiver.com because it’s self-explanatory for understanding his profile: “Cleaning up after his third hurricane in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Shark Divers Patric Douglas decided that there had to be a

company escorting American doctors all over the globe. He spent the next two years as one of the first American tour guides back into Vietnam, setting up a safe, unique travel route throughout this remarkable, historically rich country. While escorting 21-day tours through China, Bali, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America, his easygoing leadership and good humor made for some exciting moments on the road that would not have happened without him.

Hi, Patric and Welcome on board! You’re running a business in which you offer shark diving experiences to your customers. From your profile, shark diving seems just like the thing you would like to do before breakfast! How did you end up doing it for a living?

Patric: That’s an interesting story. Obviously, shark diving is not something your average kid wakes up one morning and says, “I want to be a shark diver.” For me, the movie JAWS played a huge unconscious role in what I am doing now. At the age of 7, I saw that movie and spent that entire summer with all the other kids I knew staring at the swimming pool in the 110-degree summer heat. NO ONE was going into the water that summer.

Interview with serial entrepreneurs Adam and Matthew Toren

Not sure if you know, but behind www.Entrepreneurship-interviews.com, there is a company Energybyte and a spin-off called in-progress. I started Energybyte back in 2005, with 2 great partners: Simona and Tina – they are sisters. Starting a company “in the family” brings its own set of challenges regarding sharing tasks, authority, and decisions.

So when I spoke to Adam Toren about him and his brother Matthew and their entrepreneurship story, I couldn’t wait to have their interview and success story on board! Adam and Matthew are real serial entrepreneurs, having started and sold several businesses since their teen years. They started by buying a struggling billiard hall, overhauling its business model, and selling it later as a profitable business. Next was a printing company – same story – they build the business up and sell later. They are now in the publishing industry – another success story. Read more
